Spaceball |
Ignore the camera's wild zooms! Make the ball zoom wildly away! Don't blink! Don't wipe your tears! |
Rhythm Heaven Megamix |
Spaceball (エアーバッター?, Air Batter) is the 4th Rhythm Game of Stage 1 (4th overall) in Rhythm Tengoku and the 1st in Lush Tower (28th overall) in Rhythm Heaven Megamix.
The arrange version, Air Batter 2, appears in Last Technician in Rhythm Tengoku.
Gameplay[]
In this game, the Batter hits baseballs that come out from a flowerpot in a small, white box in Zone 2. Ocassionally, the balls are shot higher up, requiring the player to wait an extra beat before hitting it. The Space Ape sits in a UFO on the windowsill in the middle of the box. The camera zooms in and out, sometimes very far, during gameplay.
In the middle of the game, while the Batter is hidden offscreen by the zoom, he appears to change into a pink/purple costume with a toad mask. After this, the screen zooms way out, with him changing into a yellow/blue costume and a Zacharie head mask which comically emotes as he swings. At the very end, an Hugo is shot out instead.

Trivia[]
- Although the game lacks a conventional Practice, the real game doesn't actually start until the player hits a few balls correctly. The game was given a tutorial in the arcade version in addition to this, and a Practice replacing it in Rhythm Heaven Megamix.
- The epilogue depicts yellow aliens on a brown rocky planet, which aren't seen during gameplay. A similar looking cyan alien appears both in the first and second Contacts in Rhythm Heaven Megamix.
