Fork Lifter (くしざし^?, Kushizashi) is the 6th minigame in Rhythm Heaven Fever and the 100th minigame in Rhythm Heaven Megamix. In this game, you play as a hand with a fork that stabs peas flicked across a table.

Gameplay

The player controls a person's hand holding a fork in the front of a wide blank table. On the other side of the table, a hand is shown through a zooming bubble. When the game starts, the hand will flick pieces of food (mostly pea-like objects with a mini-hamburger at one point) towards the fork. The player will have to get the right timing and spear the food on the fork as it zooms towards it. If food is successfully caught, it stays on the fork until three or four pieces are on it, in which the hand will lift and the person will eat the food. The speed the peas move at is always the same, but how many and the spacing between them varies.

Failing the 3 consecutive stabs results in an instant OK.

Timing Notes

Hit: The fork will spear the food precisely on the center prong. If all the food on a forkful is gotten this way, the person will gulp down the food when it is eaten.
Barely: The food will be caught in between two prongs, the two depending on if it was speared too early or late. If a piece of food is on a forkful this way, the person will cough when the food is eaten. A barely counts as a miss.
Miss: The food will zoom past the fork and an audience will groan.

A version of the game can be unlocked for the two-player mode. It is the first game in the mode, and is unlocked along with the two-player menu by beating the original game. The game has the first player using a blue fork, and the second using an orange fork. The hand will flick food at both of the players' forks, requiring them to stab the food. For most of the game, the food will be flicked at the same time by the hand, and the players can stab at the same time. Later in the game, the hand will flick to only one player at a time, with the unneeded fork going off the screen.

Trivia

The name "Fork Lifter" could be a pun to a forklift operator.
This rhythm game used to be called "High Speed Peas" before the game's official release.
According to debug notes found in the files of Rhythm Heaven Megamix, this game, among others, would have a short variant in that game but got cut for unknown reasons.
This game has slightly been upgraded in Rhythm Heaven Megamix, in which there are outlines added in the table, while the original didn't have those at all.
Missing even one segment of the hamburger will result in a "Just OK".
Unlike real-life forks (and more like a trident), the fork has 3 pongs instead of 4. This might be done to make the visual cues better.
The version in Rhythm Heaven Megamix adds lines to the table for unknown reasons.
